Today I find out if my research proposal is approved by my dissertation committee. Fingers crossed people, fingers crossed. In about a year I will have earned a doctor of education degree from a tier 1 university. This is especially gratifying since nobody in my family ever expected me to even finish high school Now I teach. I am grateful the army gave me the means and drive to pursue a college education.

I have an update. I have only 4 minor changes to make and it will be ready for submission to IRB. I will have the changes completed by week's end. I'm so very excited!

Good luck, and enjoy your success this far in life. I know the feeling, Dad never finished 8th grade and I have 2 master's degrees. It doesn't matter where you start, but where you finish.
