I got orders to go back Deployed and I am planning to start a Master's Degree online while deployed. I want to know experiences, feedback and how flexible were the professors. I am open for suggestions about Online Universities.

It would drastically depend on the school you would be going to. I was taking classes with AMU. I had a great experience. I was able to file for extensions for my classes with ease. They are focused on military and have great classes. If you were to take online classes from a traditional school that offers online programs you may have trouble. They are set with timelines that are not flexible. My platoon would have busy weeks and slow weeks. If needed I could take a week off from classes but in a traditional schools online program that may hurt you in the end and affect your attendance.

Colorado Technical University has a dedicated military division that works with deployments.

Pretty much they are. Some courses require a weekly discussion post. But you can still work ahead. Some teachers may vary on that.

I completed a few on-line classes towards my Bachelor's while I was deployed last time. My professors were very understanding when something came up and I needed a few extra days. Honestly, the only difficulty that I had at the time was reliable internet connection. I was taking classes through American Military University.

Good luck with your Master's program!!!

Wow, If you are deployed and got time to study for Masters or Bachelors then who is doing your duty ? lol when I was deployed (3times) I didn't have time to scratch my behind plus internet is slower than pond water. But good luck.

The internet overseas has changed, also with our job we have some down time most of the times. We hardly ever pull guards and when we do missions they're just a few days a month.

Interesting outlook, SFC (Join to see). I was my company's lone Commo chief and EWO and I MADE time for college AND gym. Different MOS's, units, and missions mean different opportunities.

For me, I had 12 hour duty 7 days a week and caught the satellite around 3:15 am. True story.
