The submariners fought women being on their submarines, but not because they didn’t simply want them, but because of the high stress environment and long stretches submerged and the psychological and emotional aspects of being separated and surrounded by an ocean of water just waiting on one weak point or mistake to crush the sub.

I firmly believe that the majority were concerned for females, but admittedly, there were many who just didn’t want a “woman” doing a “mans” job, LOL.

I saw my wife go through labor, and she handled that quite well, so I believe she may be stronger than me!

All in all, a big shout out to this young lady and the trails she will soon be blazing. She’s a winner, and seems to strive for her very best, all of which are traits that any leader would love to have leading his/her sailors! God speed and smooth seas!
