Why Trumpers kiss his ass is beyond my understanding as he is not a man of virtue. I have thought it was peculiar that Trump moved funds from the DoD to build the wall. A court just ruled it was done illegally. His platform is he was an outsider and would change things. I now know what changing things means, it means breaking things: Stealing veterans funds, on going trade war, impeachment, pandemic, race issues.

LTC Trent Klug - Feb 13 US Covid-19 cases=13. Mar 13 cases=2074. Mar 13 Trump called a national emergency. For those 30 days, Trump kept saying it was a democratic hoax, it will disappear, it not more harmful than the common flu. He was pushing an alternate reality for a month as the pandemic was in our country and growing.

Trump suddenly turned the switch from no threat to national threat on Mar 13. That is like making an aircraft carrier do a 180 on one pivot point. That is not how the federal government or any large bureaucracy works. Then we started planning, and by that time, we had a national crisis without a plan.

It was crucial for Trump and his administration assess the threat accurately and early, but it did not happen. Before we entered WWII FDR accurately assessed the threat of Germany and Japan before we entered the war. This early assessment compelled him to act early by supplying England and Russia from losing the war.

I really don't want to belabor this issue. The National Response Framework (NFR) describes the federal agencies, coordination, communication, planning, mitigating, and executing the NFR. DHS is the leader and coordinator of all federal entities in a joint environment. The NFR has many annexes. One for terrorism, chemical, pandemic environments and more. The Pandemic Annex describes actions that should be taken. It designates HHS to be the principal medical proponent of the federal government. It also specifies early threat assessment and ordering supplies were critical tasks.

From the chaotic response we got from Trump and the administration, it is obvious they were not using the NFR or the Pandemic Annex. It looked very ad hoc. It is a shame because as I scanned the Pandemic Annex, it clearly stated tasks that must be taken early, and that new pathogens will have many variables that are unknown to us. We really did not do a good job with early threat assessment, early ordering of supplies and preparing states and hospitals, early planning, which resulted in horrible execution in regards to the pandemic. Why this transpired is entirely another issue.

SPC Kerry Good - I believe the only way the wall will be completed is for Congress to appropriate funds. A federal court ruled Trump illegally used DoD funds for the wall.

Thank you for reminding me why I never became an attorney. Watching you crucify someone with this collection of unsubstantiated crap sickens me. It is reprehensible. Disgusting. President Trump is the most investigated elected official I have ever seen, vilified by unsubstantiated innuendo and rumors. And here you are, spreading a new batch. You should know better. God, but this posting disgusts me...

SSgt (Join to see) - Another one was the nomination of Gorsuch to SCOTUS. Kavanaugh to a lesser degree, and although I'm still concerned about the allegations, the only thing that matters now is his opinions. His approval of changes to the MCM was good, and in some cases very good.

Has anyone heard from the chairs of the House and Senate Intel committees if they are meeting with US intel officials to confirm or deny the NYT report? Would think this could be resolved in a few hours of classified debriefings instead of pretending we'll take the word of the White House.
