Yesterday I was asked "what works for you" in reference to my life with PTS. Though I believe we ALL need a different mix/method, here is a better response than I was able to provide yesterday.

Medication in moderation and closely monitored to find med/amount/mix for me

God

Meditation

Practicing mindfulness

My art/crafts/construction/projects

My dog

Therapy with an experienced PTS professional geared to guiding me thru and with my issues rather than adjusting behavior control to better "assimilate" with civilians.

A decade of individual, christian, and marital counseling and open discussion.

Telling my loved ones no...if my moods not good on a day it's better for everyone I not be placed in trigger/crowded situations.

Prayer

True investigation of scripture, philosophy, science, and other religions to find one solid truth on which to base my new existence.

Exposure therapy IN MODERATION with self time before and after NOT group discussion.

Writing journals, then a book about my experiences

Time in nature

Time to self with the above as my focus rather than zoning or flushing out my mind with drugs or alcohol.
