I've been wondering, among those with the most serious cases who have survived, are doctors seeing permanent / chronic damage to the persons lungs, etc.? Have not heard much in that regard in the ongoing reporting.

The services, especially the Army and USMC, have always been very cautious wrt respiratory diseases because of the severe environments we serve in. Asthma for example, has always been DODMERB disqualifying, and depending on the type and severity, may or may not be waivered for different applicants.

Although it's far too early to tell, I'm curious to see what the long term effects of this virus are on the lungs and other vital organs. Thanks for sharing.
