I used to keep two strips of OD green duct tape taped to the inside of my cammie blouse. You never know when you need to hang something on a wall.

Shocked a Light bird once when I just pulled them out. He was like "Cpl, you just keep those there in case you might need them?" And in my best deadpan "Sir, don't you?"

Sling load breakaways. Tensile strength of 100mph tape cut through half way is 70in lbs. Breakaways keep the sling ropes from getting bound up, yet "break away" once the sling load is under proper tension from the lift aircraft. Air Assault!!!

For my 15U Chinook (Hookers) family, Duct tape is ESSENTIAL for maintaining hydraulic pressure. Next time you are in one just look over head and see all the 100mph repairs. If they aren't leaking hydraulic fluid from somewhere, the reservoir has run dry and "rapid, unscheduled, vertical descent" is inevitable.

But as I recall we once used it to tape a very drunk and belligerent Troop naked upside down to the wall in the common area to help him cool off. Good Times ! ! ! ! :) :)
