Do you think civil unrest is going to get worse in America?

CPT L S I have thick skin. I just don't have any patience for BS or people who purposely attempt to create a hostile environment. One can state an opposing view without being an asshole about it. It is obvious that MAJ W S-H is an agitator who looks for a fight to pick with someone on-line, where he can do so with little concern for getting his ass kicked, except in a verbal sense. While it may be easier to just ignore his idiotic BS, I will not give him the satisfaction of thinking he has won the debate. The fact is that, after all is said and done, he will not change my mind, nor will I change his, so it all is really just an exercise in futility.

As for you, you have generally been pretty even keel/level-headed about these discussions, even if folks disagreed with you, however, you, too, have started becoming somewhat of a troll/jerk by making personal attacks on people you disagree with. I think you need to reassess how you respond. Your opinion is every much as important as mine or anybody else's. However, that does not necessarily mean that you are correct or that anybody who disagrees with you is wrong. It just means that there are different opinions about things and adults should be able to discuss them without personal attacks. Understand asshole?? (That was a joke) :-) Seriously... debate is good, but personal attacks accomplish nothing and shows the immaturity of the attacker.

CPT L S - I see no humor in MAJ W S-H's posts... only ridicule and personal attacks. As far as being "smarter and more well-informed" than those who disagree with him, that is certainly in the eye of the beholder. If he truly believes the crap he spews, I think he is a lot less intelligent than the vast majority of the people he slings his crap at. But, like I said, that is only my opinion (which happens to be right).. :-)

CPT L S - There is a reason that the constitution comes 1st in the oath. If the officers appointed above me give lawful orders that don't go against what our constitution stands for then yes, I will do everything possible to carry out those orders, but I don't care if Gen Odierno himself gives me the order, if it's unlawful I won't carry it out.

CPT L S - Sir I don't run around in a tin foil hat but history has showed time and time again that those in power want to stay in power, that's not an opinion Sir. It's 100% true and factual. I'm not saying President Obama specifically, but why do you think we have career politicians? Being a senator or a congressman gives you both power and wealth. Power not as an individual perhaps, but they have the power to sneak in little tidbit into a 1500 page bill that no one will ever read that is beneficial to some corporation and in return that corporation puts money in someone else's hand to vote yes on that bill. When you speak of taking up arms against your government Sir you are absolutely correct that it is treasonous, however using your power to better the lives of the already rich and powerful while simultaneously destroying the lives of the common people is tyranny. Dividing us against each other by playing into the race and gender wars, turning it all into a big game show in order to boost ratings of the network that endorsed you or gain votes in the next election is tyranny. Where would our great nation be without treason? We were born out of treason. I certainly don't condone treason Sir but remember that is how our nation came to be.

One last thought I meant to put in there and missed, if you want power over people the best way to do it is to divide and disarm. If you don't believe me Sir check the history books. And if you think we as a race are beyond that then I would like to point out that disregarding history anod past consequences is precisely why history will always repeat itself. Humans are never and will never be above or beyond any of the atrocities that have happened through out history.
