US Arrogance: Sending of Kerry to negotiate cease fire in Israel

If this has already been posted I'm sorry but I have to get this off my chest. The United States has sent Kerry to Isreal to negotiate a cease fire. Why? If I were any other country in this world why would I listen to a country who can't fix there own problems, and we have many! We need to stop sticking our nose into other countries problems until we have a handle on the problems that are festering in our own back yard. HEY CONGRESS AND MR. PRESIDENT TAKE CARE OF OUR HOME!!!!

First off, many of the problems we have at home are "First World Problems". Yes, they are serious issues and need to be addressed, but I guarantee you that many folks around the world would LOVE to have our problems.
Secondly, just because we have problems at home doesn't mean we can simply disengage from the rest of the world. Just becuase you are not interested in world problems doesn't mean that world problems will not affect you. It's kind of like voting: if you didn't vote you don't have a right to bitch about the outcome. You can either disengage and be content to deal with the aftermath or you can engage and try to avert bad outcomes or even shape the outcomes to your advantage.

With l do respect sir we can and should disengage some what of what is happening around the world.
For example Ukraine. We the US and are meddling there. 1. We promised Russia during the Clinton administrations that we would not put station troops in Ukraine or allow Ukraine to join NATO. Russia saw this as threat to their security. Just as we saw Cuba and any of South America a threat if Russia put troops there or made an agreement to join militarily.
We did not make the Middle East any safer by attacking Iraq, it only made things worse.
No it's time we build an Iron Dome here in this country, it's time we take at 40% of what we spend in NATO back into domestic spending in this country.
How can you say many countries would love to have our problems, hundred of thousands homeless, veterans not being taken care, Seniors not being taken care of, an election system that is rot with some very serious problems that threaten our very Constitution. Then finally millions not thousands millions more the population of some of our states of un vetted illegal immigrants. Thousands of legal immigrants that we took in do to the wars, conflicts happening through out world, immigrants who don"t assimiulate in to very country that took them in, not only took the in but gave them rights to run for pollical office only so the can spout the very ideology that is causing most of the Middle East problems. We have to political parties that have lost touch with the very people the elected them as well as corrupted their institutions so there are double standards one for them and another for the very people that are suppose the represent.
Yes there is time when we need and should step in to help other countries. But it's time to put US citizens first. We rebuilt Japan, Europe after the WW2, something we never got paid back for only for, then for up until about 8 years ago, we were the biggest spender on keeping Europe, Japan and many other Asian countries safe from communist, only to have that very Ideology be pushed and come main stream in this country. We have spent are way in to debt of trillions of dollars and over the decades a lot of that went to aid to other countries. I am not for being Isolationist but I am for help at home first then the rest of the world. It's time the rest of the Western Countries wealth Asian countries and middle eastern countries step up with support.
I am for supporting Israel because it's the only true democracy in the Middle East, also they have stood by us for many decades.

I Very much do, in fact I live in Michigan where the famous Senator Author H Vandenberg is from who was in part ( strong leader ) a Isolationist in our country at the time that evolved out the country's sentiment after WW1. Because of the strong Isolationist Ideology it help Hitler in to power. ( the cliff notes but more complicated then that )
Anyway Senator Vandenburg changed his views got the Congress to see the light and help us to enter WW2, he also fought hard to keep us from going back to being Isolationist with led to the US to Help rebuild Germany, most of Europe and Japan, he was also instrumental in helping form the United Nations. Like al things great ideas and intentions but not enough thought and protection built in. We went from be Isolationist to being the worlds police men. Korea, Viet Nam, Panama, syria, Lebanon. and the list goes on.
It's time we swing the pendulum to the middle, not all the way back to being Isolationist, but being more like other countries, and take care of own.

I voted, but if I didn’t I would still have rights to voice my opinion. As long as the U.S. takes my money as taxpayers I will always be able to voice opinions. And also the constitution gives me that right.

Classic whataboutism. Trying to distract by pointing to a non-existent problem, that you have no intention of truly working on, trying to deny an actual problem that does need attention. I don't care what you think of Kerry, but unlike you, or anyone who supports the former traitor-in-chief, he is at least capable of negotiating with Hamas and Israel and work with both of them to accomplish what very few in the world can not. Israel is committing crimes against humanity and is as much a terrorist group as Hamas. Civilians on BOTH sides, all Jews, Christians, and Muslims, are suffering because of it. Kerry is doing his job and doing it as best as possible. Just because you don't understand how diplomacy works doesn't mean it isn't effective.

Nobody listens to John Kerry. Every foreign country that has an Intelligence agency worth its salt, does their homework and investigates the background of the leaders other countries send to them. Kerry's most notable success in life is being able to convince rich women to marry him. They don't have any respect for a man who has inherited his fortune through marriage. Kerry is nothing but a pure politician. His words are just empty platitudes, and his admonition/threats to other leaders is like the bleating of sheep amongst wolves. John Kerry is an empty suit and they know it.
In the same vein, the entire world knows Obama is a phony. They know he's ineligible. They know every detail about his sordid past and closet homosexuality. They know he did nothing to earn his Nobel Peace Prize. They know Obama can't get anything done through Congress and that he's not acting in America's best interest. They view him as a weak, corrupt, arrogant and narcissistic "leader" [for lack of a better word] that surrounds himself with incompetents (like John Kerry) and promotes people based not on their performance, but for their steadfast loyalty and willingness to go to bat for him to cover up his wrongdoing. Obama boasts about his accomplishments taking credit for success where there is none. His actions in the Middle East have served to destabilize the entire region. Perhaps that is by design. He makes idle threats drawing red lines in the sand that get crossed repeatedly... and nothing of consequence happens.
The world would feel sorry for America but for one trivial detail... We elected Obama without vetting him, and then after four years of broken promises and screwing up our economy, we were stupid enough to re-elect him. Putin has Obama's ticket. Netanyahu sees him as an untrustworthy Ally at best, and a vindictive, sore loser that says one thing and does another, always acting against Israel's national interests.
THIS is the Administration as seen by the world, which John Kerry represents. Nobody listens and nobody cares.
