How long will it take for my promotion to go through after submitting my packet for O3 for a UVP slot with the AZ NG?

My packet for O3 was submitted last OCT2024 for a UVP slot with the AZ guard. I last checked my status in the G1 portal and it says awaiting scroll assignment and it has been this way for about 3 weeks now. Just trying to see if someone has recently gone through this and has an idea on how long am I looking at for the promotion to go through? I was at 31 months in time in grade when my packet was submitted and I am also currently on title 10 and deployed. Thanks in advance

Typically it should take up to six to nine months for UVP to go through after being submitted but there are numerous stories of individuals who waited for years for their UVP to go through.

However, your status from three weeks ago ("awaiting scroll assignment") indicates that it has made it out of NGB to the DMPM in the Army G-1 and is at the beginning of the screening process. It should only be another two to three months from there (less if the status hasn't been updated to reflect your packet further along the process).

Once your FEDREC packet is submitted by NGB to the HQDA G-1's DMPM, an officer is screened through CID, the Army's IG, etc. After all the screening is done (assuming you weren't flagged), then you would be added to a scroll and sent onward for approvals and eventually the SECDEF's signature.
