1LT with two "highly qualified" (COM) OERs....Should I be worried about the Captain board?

I am a non-traditional officer (age 35) and a chemical officer in a combined arms battalion. I realize that I am at a disadvantage because I am not branched infantry or armor.

CPT should be automatic unless you kill someone in training.

look at last year's promotion rate for your branch. If it is high, such as above 80%, you have good chances. But, as you look at the promotion rates to Major and LTC, you will see, they are dropping, the selection criteria gets competitive and you will need quite a few ACOMs.
Don't let anyone tell you, "just do a good job and don't worry about ACOMs..." very bad advice.
