He must have pre known something the rest of were not in on yet?

Of course, it is normal to have an entire crew of novices too. Not saying that her and her crew did not do an excellent job but I always love when the Army is able to get the results they want for the story that has already been decided.Response by MSG Brad Sand made Jul 10 at 2014 4:42 PM2014-07-10T16:42:28-04:002014-07-10T16:42:28-04:00MSG Wade Huffman175007

Kudos to Maj Cook and crew! Chrissy Cook on her qualification as Top Gun!

Now my question? Since I am Navy and not sure of how Army does things all the time need a little clarification please. Is it normal in the Army for a Major to Command a crew of 3? Or is this a special case where she is in Command of a large group of Bradleys and this is just her COmmand Vehicle and the Group? Squadron? Commander also Commands and fights her own vehicle? Just wondering. Thanks.Response by CMDCM Gene Treants made Jul 19 at 2014 12:10 PM2014-07-19T12:10:26-04:002014-07-19T12:10:26-04:00SSG V. Yes its groundbreaking that she is the first female to command a qualified bradley crew, but have shot a few gunneries, being a man does not provied a destinct advantage, infact the generally smaller stature of a female's body might actually be an advantage in the confines of a bradley turret. Anywho, again my congratulations to her and her crew but honestly theres bigger things to focus on in the Army than a feel good story.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 19 at 2014 8:23 PM2014-07-19T20:23:17-04:002014-07-19T20:23:17-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member182218

I read this article when it came out in the Army Times. I liked how Major Cook stated she "does not believe she is the first female soldier to earn her qual on a Bradley" and that she gave a lot of credit to her crew. There are probably females that came before her and to show such a good attitude was a great.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 20 at 2014 12:10 AM2014-07-20T00:10:05-04:002014-07-20T00:10:05-04:002014-07-10T15:38:41-04:00
