Although I'm hoping that Army does pull it out the Navy team has been looking pretty good this season. Either way, I'm just excited for the chance to go this year for the first time ever and I got some great seats and even got passes to go on the field during warmups tomorrow! I also have the great opportunity to be able to take 3 other Veterans with me to enjoy the game! So regardless of what the scoreboard says and the amount snow and cold we have to go through, I'm just excited to spend the day with thousands of my brothers and sisters-in-arms.

Good-oh, MSG Matthew Q.! Win or lose, Army-Navy is always a great game!

My father was a career Naval Officer who came up through the ranks. He was very proud of me when I went to West Point (USMA Class of 75) but wasn't sure on what side of the field he should sit during the game, so he left it up to me. I always got him tickets for the end zone! He rests for the ages now at the National Cemetery in Pensacola, but I'm sure he and all the other Vets will be watching from their end zone there.

Betting line experts appear to say the best bet is for Navy to win, but for Army to cover the spread (+12.5). A spread of 12.5 is pretty steep to cover. Note: 'ATS' below stands for Against The Spread. //

The Army-Navy betting line has Navy as a -12.5 favorite across the board. Navy has won the last 10 in this series. However, they have only won by 4 points in each of the last two seasons, well short of covering the current -12.5 spread. The Black Knights are 5-1 Against The Spread in their last 6 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game, 4-9 ATS in their last 13 conference games, 4-9 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, 6-21 ATS in their last 27 games following a bye week and they are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games on grass. The Midshipmen are 5-1 Against The Spread in their last 6 games overall, 2-6 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a bye week.

Congratulations to Navy on their victory over Army. Well played!

For all you Army fans: do not despair! So far this year Army has beaten Navy in boxing, golf, rifle, skeet & trap, volleyball, women's rugby, women's soccer, cross country, debate, and sprint football. West Point Superintendent LTG Bob Caslen, Class of 75, is a former Army football player, an Infantry officer, and Airborne Ranger. He just assumed command in August. A finer leader and officer cannot be found. Whatever adjustments need to be made to the Army football program; he will make them (Please note that this statement is made with ire to no one). Bob is my classmate and we were LTs together in the same INF unit (CSC/2D BN-47 INF/9ID). Most importantly, he will make those young cadets the best officers the Army and the country can expect.

Again: Congratulations Navy! Until we meet again next year on the fields of friendly strife!
