SFC Private RallyPoint Member931425<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As a recently promoted 25N, I've been weighing my options for re-enlistment, but I keep hearing whispers about a possible 25B/25N merge due to the new Cyber Defense MOS' that are currently being stood up. I'm just curious to see if anyone else has heard anything recently about this? Any info would be greatly appreciated. These usually will have that sort of information.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 1 at 2015 12:41 AM2015-09-01T00:41:40-04:002015-09-01T00:41:40-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member931459<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Nothing is set in stone but yes talks of this are ongoing. I would advise dropping your 25D packet if you want any shot at promotion in the signal community for awhile. Just look at the MSG list for FY15 zero selected for promotion in any CMF but 25D.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 1 at 2015 1:00 AM2015-09-01T01:00:39-04:002015-09-01T01:00:39-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member931462<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Also last I heard reenlistment for 25D came with 13000 bonus and promotion to SSG upon graduation from course.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 1 at 2015 1:02 AM2015-09-01T01:02:31-04:002015-09-01T01:02:31-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member931511<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I hope so and then kicks his ass for continuing to pressure celebrities to attend military functions out of guilt. The best bet is to do what SSG . Rodney recommended and go 25D. Not for the money but for the prospects. If you pass, you will be one of the trailblazers and will have a greater chance of promotion and responsibility (i.e. better job in and out of the military). If you don't pass then, oh well, you tried and 25B/N will still be there.Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 2 at 2015 8:16 AM2015-09-02T08:16:42-04:002015-09-02T08:16:42-04:00PFC Christopher Dale Carpenter974653<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I haven't heard anything but I can see it happening eventually.Response by PFC Christopher Dale Carpenter made Sep 18 at 2015 6:31 AM2015-09-18T06:31:32-04:002015-09-18T06:31:32-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1105412<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I haven't heard anything about a merger but all in all the merge will be easy for 25B's because Networking is the bulk of our schooling. The merge may help a 25N in the long run because you will no longer be competing with 25L, or 25Q for the SFC promotions. Like everyone else I would recommend going 25D, I submitted my packet and was accepted. If promotion is what you want then 25D is for you, if you want job satisfaction 25B/N might just benefit you.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 12 at 2015 10:51 PM2015-11-12T22:51:24-05:002015-11-12T22:51:24-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member1106071<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The merge is going to happen before FY19. 17 MOS down to 11. I remember back in 2010 when I was in AIT they where supposed to do that in 2011. It's crazy that it's been so long and still they have not finalized it.Response by PFC Gustavo Barrera made Jan 25 at 2017 9:29 PM2017-01-25T21:29:01-05:002017-01-25T21:29:01-05:002015-09-01T00:18:34-04:00
