With a large group of 25N (10 and 20-level), being sent to Air Defense Artillery units, do you think this is useful place for them, or should they be sent to another type of unit where they maybe better utilized. IMHO I think the job of the 25N, if not in an S6 shop, should be sent to an infantry or Signal unit.

There is no real reason for a 25N to be placed in an ADA unit they use none of our equipment and essentially retrain us to do a 14E job it's a waste of resources from an already fairly small mos

The CRG/AMG pair which is what 25N work on in ADA land, should be operated by 14Es as its their lane and MOS that very much aligns with the equipment and job requirements, I never understood why if they felt they needed "specialized" soldiers they did not create a 14N or something, thats why 35Ns exist in MI for instance.

I know this is a old post but I am going to be the first 255N placed into 11th ADA. I was informed that the BN do have routers and switches . Also the Patriot systems are to be updated but the mtoe is updating faster than the equipment is coming in

Most likely you will be assigned to S3 or work in the TOC with the Tactical Director. The equipment used is normally older and definitely not up to date. They are currently fielding new equipment but nothing like a WIN-T style network, usually an outside unit provides that support, such as SAT access and even NIPR/SIPR.
