What do 25Us do at Fort Irwin? Do we even wear OCPs there?

25U E5 PCSing to Fort Irwin. I’m from California so I’m familiar with the surrounding area.

Depends on which side of Irwin you get assigned to. If you get Garrison, you'll wear OCPs as your duty uniform. If you get assigned to 11th ACR, you'll wear their prescribed uniform for most of the month. As in, if their prescribed uniform is the Desert Camouflage Uniform, you'll wear that. If their prescribed uniform is the OCP, then that's what you'll wear.
Based on your MOS, I would venture a guess that you could be assigned to either the 511th MI Company, or possibly the element Operations Group.

I was there 92-93 - 164 Chem OPFOR Smoke. Right after Desert Storm they sent most of us in my platoon out there from 69th Chem.

If you're in 11th ACR you'll be setting up Retran Sites or the TOC in the field. Garrison is just help desk and training units how to use JBCP and Radios. Any other unit you'll just be conducting Signal Support to a similar extent.
