Each and every position in the brigade is treasured, however sometimes non-aviators don't feel the love. Fort Hood is a great assignment in you enjoy the outdoors, it is a huge installation. As Mr. Baker said, sometimes non aviation don't feel as much of the love, but aviation in general is a little more relaxed. Operations of course revolve around the aircraft and their work generally revolves around the ground guys of the supported units (as it should). Still generally a more lax environment provided inspections go well and the job is getting done. This will be my first time in a Cav. A lot of pride in those units with a lot of history to back it up. Evryone makes fun of the Cav, but all in good fun. When it comes down to business, everyone works together just fine. Except those blackhawk guys... If you take a look at my discussions, you'll see a recent one asking about Fort Hood too, more specifically about places to look for a home. I've been getting some great input across the spectrum. I think we're headed to a pretty good place man. I've always heard mixed thoughts about it, but that's usually a good sign because it could be like Drum where everyone hates it. I'm a little jealous you're coming from Carson. I he up in that area, and it's a station I've been trying to get but was always just or of reach!Response by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 16 at 2015 8:50 AM2015-10-16T08:50:10-04:002015-10-16T08:50:10-04:00SGT Ronnie Warford1044738<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Air Cav is the best place to be on Fort Hood.
