I ask because I received orders (30 APR 17 - 6 MAY 17) and submitted them for pay on the 7th of May (at Battle Assembly). My LES covering May BA was dated 19 MAY 17. My LES covering my 7 day orders are dated 1 June?!

Other examples:
On orders 13 MAR 17 - 6 APR 17. LES was dated 7 APR 17
On orders 13-16 DEC 16, LES dated 18 JAN 17
On orders 10 OCT 15 - 31 OCT 15, LES dated 20 NOV 15
On orders 1 NOV 15 - 21 NOV 15, LES dated 22 NOV 15

So the orders were less than 8 days, first your BA is paid thru a different system in RLAS than your order. There is a pay cycle, who ever submitted them should be able to go online and find the cycle. Once they submit those 7 days the first cycle it falls under will pay the orders providing everything was done right.

SSG (Join to see) - I've been told that there are 8 pay cycles per month. Is that still true? If so it should only take a 1-2 weeks at most to be paid (not 3+).

First it would depend on the overall length, if the regs have not changed, under 8 days, you get paid at the end of the orders once you bring in the signed orders, then should take about 7 to 10 days depending on the pay cycle. Under 28 days they should submit your orders for pay once they know you are at your assigned destination and you should get paid when the orders end. Over 28 days you will have to submit your orders to finance once you get to the post and will be paid like regular army if finance doesn't screw it up. Anything much over two weeks for option 1 and 2 somebody needs to check into it. Or the person submitting has not submitted. I found over the years once submitted finance which is usually Indy does a good job of getting it processed.

I do not doubt that once submitted DFAS processes the pay quickly. My concern is that this most recent example shows that some pay is not being submitted timely and I'm trying to figure out if this is dereliction of duty or intentional.
