No. I would say they want your first born in trade for that. Pure home defense, I will take a police model 870 with cylinder bore and alternating load of 00 buck and rifled slugs. Remember, 00 spreads 1 inch every yard, and slugs are very accurate at 50 yards. So if you slow them down with buckshot, you can finish the job with a 1 oz slug. Just my 2 cents.

Of course the best gun to have is the one you have on you all the time. (and a shotgun or rifle to fight your way back to.) Come support the right of the armed forces to be armed!: http://www.rallypoint.com/answers/arm-the-armed-forces

I have a Remington 870 Tactical Express 12 GA with Ghost Ring Sights with a Six Round Tube, Side Saddle with six additional rounds, and a recoil reducing stock.

When it is loaded, there is 6 rounds of 00 buck in the tube, 4 slugs and two 00 Buck in the side saddle. When loading based on need, I can just jack a 00 buck into the chamber or drop a slug in.

It is the same configuration I use in my Patrol Vehicle.

That is a LOT of shotgun if you are just looking for home defense. A Mossberg 500 works just as well, at a fraction of the price.

Gotta watch out for ISIS...like if a squad of 13 lone wolfs come to form a pack.....you have one round left just in case you missed or shoot a warning shot.

That is why you reload as you go...14 shots, go back and put an extra one in the leader as a statement.
