Used to say "Nuke the whales, Sir" with officers in my unit, the reply was always "'Til they glow"

I have replied with some doozies TSgt J.D. Hall "I do it because I love it", and "Don't let me down", will usually get me a sideways glance, but another one is, "and hopefully one day you'll be wearing this uniform". I'm sure the parents love that.

With male officers in my unit, I normally saulte with "I love you, sir."

That is somewhat dumb. You do not have to love an officer and the officer does not have to love you. That one would be worth an ass chewing.
