40 points for up votes?

I just noticed that a recent Up Vote was 40 Points.. is this a glitch or has RP changed something.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I think it might just be that when someone agrees with you its deemed to be less important.

I have not seen this yet, but will keep an eye out.

Update: Last thumbs up was 45 minutes ago and it was 50 points.

Update 2: Another thumbs up a minute ago and it was 50 points. At this point I think they changed it for you only, might be telling you something there MSG...

Once you receive 50,000 points from up votes, you start earning 40 points per rather than 50. While this may slow down your influence score a bit, everyone experiences the same reduction. To those below you it may seem like they're catching up, but they'll never quite get there so long as you're active!
