Does anyone have any Information (other than the goarmy site info) on the new MOS 35W? All I can see is that it’s the same as 35M with the same title and job description. I asked a recruiter about it and he has no idea what it is.

It looks like they will just rename it. It happens sometimes. In this case 35M doesn't require everyone to be language certified but it looks like 35W will. It's an administrative change that will allow the branch to force people to go to school or get out the MOS when they shut down 35M

SGT(P) (Join to see) it's transitioned to language dependent for new accession, and there is a strong push to make 35Ms get a language. But it's still not required to hold the MOS.
What they will do is called a fast track Reclass. First they'll Reclass all the 35M who are 2/2 qualified. Then they'll Reclass the ones who request school. Then they'll give an end date and any who don't Reclass will be forced to ETS
As for the DLI they will probably do the language first because it will allow time for the clearance to process, similar to 35P.

I see. Yes I’m aware of that. It has been a part of training since 2016 now I believe. This was a question about the new mos 35W that is posted on the goarmy website.

Sorry for the last response but, what came of this? My recruiter isn't familiar with this MOS but it does take the same trajectory as 35P. How does a language get assigned since there is no DLAB score required? I just took the DLAB and scored an 80 and needed a 95 for 35P. But this job (35W) showed up on my recruiters system and it mentions no DLAB score and BCT, DLI, and AIT.
Thanks!!!

Resolved this with my recruiter! It does require a passing DLAB score. The job on his system didn't show the qualification when he clicked on it but, it did on a packet up sheet? It then showed that a 95 is required.
