After 16 months in Korea I'll be PCSing to Fort Carson, CO in July. I'm supposed to have a sponsor here soon, but I'm not relying on it. I would like to know from anyone who's been there from experience what to expect. I've heard there is plenty of outdoor activities and the place is beautiful. I'm projected to be going to 4CAB. I've never been in a Combat Aviation Brigade. Anything would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!!!

Regarding sponsorship, make sure you fill out a sponsorship request form and include a way to get in contact with you in transit. Also, I have always reached out to my gaining unit (S1 shop) to establish contact.
I've never been stationed at Carson, but have been there on temp duty and vacations, beautiful place!

Thank you, I will do my 5434 as soon as I get my orders at the end of the month. I already contacted my new brigade and they are tracking me in the're incoming personnel. I'm looking forward to all the outdoor activities Fort Carson and the surrounding areas have. Thank you!

Let me do you the favor...fill out the DA 5434 (sections 1,2,4,&5) and submit it to the link below and to your S1. If my personnel in the Sponsor cell do not respond within two weeks...shoot me an email. I will make sure that 4th CAB makes contact with you. [login to see] .
