AAHH.....It's time for leave. Get that form to the Commander and pack your bags. But hey, Where do we spend it? Do we just stay on base and chill? Do we go back home and visit with the friends and family? Or do we go somewhere new and take it all in? These are questions we answered many times when filling out that leave request. And no matter what the answer was we always remember that one cool place we went. For me, it was a small village in Austria that had some of the best Alps skiing I had ever done. So, what was yours? Type away and let us know of your best time on leave. . . .

Make it a point to spend all that hard earned deployment money on a good vacation once I got back to the states. We have been on a few cruises that were really fun but crazy expensive.

After an Iraq tour in 08 we went to a Sandals resort in St Lucia and have been hooked ever since. Last year after Afghanistan we went to the Sandals in Antigua, it was awesome. If you have never done it I highly recommend them.

The wife and I have done two cruises. Bahama's and Alaska. Bahama's was awesome, Alaska rained at every Port of Call.

Wife and I moved to up state New York before my deployment and we visited the 9/11 site. Real somber event. Also saw all the other sites.
