If anybody has any insight or advice I'd greatly appreciate it but currently I'm a 15T in a guard unit and I'm about to finish my bachelors. My overall goal is to go active duty warrant for flight school but I'm not sure how or if it's possible to go from guard to active for WOCS. I already have my flight physical and SIFT done, I just have to finish the rest of my packet and get LOR'S. Thank you guys for your help!

You’ll probably have to get a conditional release from the Guard. Now, it’s my understanding that the Guard is usually reluctant to release Guardsmen because they don’t want the attrition. It’s not impossible, just usually difficult.

Thank you Sir; I wasn't hoping for that but if there's a will, there's a way.

Yes it is possible to go active warrant. I’ve seen plenty of people do it. When you fill out your packet you will have to put on there that you want to go active.

One option is to complete WOCS and become a pilot in the Guard, then wait for a Call to Active Duty Milper (usually every February), the last 3 years they have been looking for commissioned and Warrant pilots to transfer to Active Duty.
