51 dead, hundreds wounded in lethal wave of Kabul bombings. Is it ever going to end?

Fifteen more fatalities were confirmed Saturday from a barrage of bombings in Kabul, taking the toll to 51 in the deadliest day in the Afghan capital since the NATO combat mission ended in December. Did we leave too soon? Should the powers to be have let us do our job and kick their asses once and for all? The carnage highlighted the risk of a bloodier insurgency under a new Taliban leadership as Afghan forces face their first summer fighting season without full NATO support.

You ask if this is ever going to end...after WWII the U.S. Maintained troops in Germany and Japan until... It took a years to effect change but today we expect totaled action and leave. Wended to rethink what our true desired end state is and then develop a strategy to achieve those ends. It will take years if we truly want to make a difference.
