Are the Enlisted Ranks really that bad as a career?

So, the aspect that tanked the Enlisted Ranks were the physical danger, stress, and the newest contributor of "lack of job security". Ok. I see some of it. Really enjoyed the comment: "the military isn't for everyone".... well, no kidding??!! Personally, I think that the other 9 on that list were all MUCH WORSE. I spent 11 years enlisted....I didn't think it was so bad overall, I just wanted more...so went to nursing school and got my commission.

I've seen worse on Mike Rowe's show! It was the best job I ever had!

Not to me it wasn't. I enjoyed it so much I do not consider it as working but the way of life that was made for myself and those like me such as my Father, most of my Uncles, Grandfather and it goes on & on in my family. Yes we did have a few that messed up and were officers, I try not to hold it against them, LOL.
