I was wondering if it was possible to get my PCS orders which are dated for 20 April 2021 changed to an earlier report date in order not to be thrown on a last minute rotation to Europe starting in December. My company claims that everyone that has a date before 01 April 2021 is not going but because my date is 20 April I’m being told I have to go to meet mission requirements. Is there any way to change the date and or avoid being thrown into Europe and waste time I could be using to clear my current duty station?

You can try. The amendment request has to go thru your CoC, S1 and higher. I wouldn't recommend putting all of your hopes of the amendment request being approved.

And if I may make a suggestion...perhaps change your photo from the half dressed woman grinding on your junk with what looks like a flagging action of the weapon that has a magazine loaded into it. Not very professional looking for an NCO. But, that's just MHO

They will not allow it. Troop strength won’t allow it. When this dates are determined it is based on the deployability strength of the unit. You can submit, but as I recall it goes through your Company HQ and up the chain.

Thank you CSM, I don’t mean to sound like I’m just trying to avoid going but I’ve been through this same situation before and it put me in a financial situation that wasn’t resolved for quite a while after returning to my CONUS duty station. I just wish not to be put in that same situation again to alleviate any stress that comes with all the moving parts of a deployment

Had you said that to me as your 1SG I would have done what I could do to assist if possible. So, go see him. Good luck. SGT (Join to see)

Yes it is, but it requires the support of your command to endorse your 4187. You’re not going to get a report date changed without the approval of your CO and BN CDR
