I officially retired 31 DEC 21. I am eligible for early retirement payments. How long before I receive my first payment?

I retired from the reserve component. I put in my orders 9 months early. I wish to hear from those who were in the Army Reserve and National Guard who were given an early retirement because of serving downrange and getting credit for that time. I did all the necessary paperwork, I went to the pre-retirement conference. My packet was uploaded by the G1. I received my orders a month ago. For those who had no problems with their file being lost, did you have a delay in receiving your first retirement payment?

Congratulations. I also was eligible for early retirement. I estimated my payments would start in March or April. I actually started receiving payments in January. If you have not received notification that there were not issues with your packet you should start receiving your payments automatically. I put also my packet in approximately 9 months early. No issues. Someone, somewhere, calculates when you should start receiving payments.

Thank you ,Dave!
I will call them on Monday but I will have tactical patience. I don't need the money I just am used to things going wrong in the past every time you switch units, or in this case, being put into the retired Reserve. This is new for me!
