That is a gate you have to go through. I was able to turn around a company that had just failed nearly every program during a CIP in 90 days. It may be a pain now, but it pays.
Look at them as programs, and you as the program manager. The benefits of timely reports and "passed" inspections is often underestimated.
If you dont already have the CIP/IG checklists for each program, get them and self evaluate and correct, as necessary. If you need resources, ask for them. Then, enjoy the easy excellent rating, potential impact award, or schools that go with those duties. Leverage good results for a hard-to-get on post school, and do it before you get on orders so that doesn't become an excuse. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 31 Oct 2018 08:39:47 -0400 2018-10-31T08:39:47-04:00 Response by SGT Tomas "Huey" Husted made Nov 4 at 2018 4:23 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/77-8-months-time-on-station?n=4100189&urlhash=4100189

I was at Ft Hood for 16 mos and I'd had enough. We spent 14 mos under DAC testing. In the field 290 plus days in Winter, spring, summer no matter the season or temperature. Plus a AGI in between. I also was working 4 jobs. They kept me busier than a 2 pecker billy goat. Finally a friend and I went to PAC and we put in for a transfer. A PCS. He wanted to go to Germany I wanted to go to Korea. Smart ass PCS clerk sent him to Korea and me to Germany, about right huh. I just don't understand today's Army. You got to remember It's been 40 plus years since I did my time. Back then you put in for a PCS. and you were gone. More power to you William I hope you get your transfer. But what I found to be is that undoubtedly your GTS is higher than 9/10 th higher than the rest of your company, that makes you a commodity. When I found out my GTS was 20 points higher than my CO who spent 4 years at West Point it scared the hell out of me. But as I said intelligence is a commodity. Keep trying and remember there is a chain of command you have the right to use it. If that is denied to you there is JAG. But remember there is also such thing as retribution. Good luck.
