I’m retiring out of the military soon. Are there any life insurance companies that don’t require medical exams, or veteran friendly?

I know about VGLI, however the premium increases every four years. The VA has also deemed me at 100% on VA Compensation. I realize that it will be difficult to get approved life insurance after an exam due to my life term medical issues that the army will be paying for.

SSG (Join to see)... you need to do your own research regarding Life Insurance. Not sure why the other poster is discussing Whole Life vs. Term. But there are important issues that you need to think about before buying an Insurance product. 98% + of Term policies issued to customers are never paid out by the insurance company. That's because most term policies are issued for 10-20 year increments, and term becomes VERY expensive the older a person gets. It's really just temporary insurance & I'd recommend that if you do chose this option, get a return of premium rider (ROP) that pays you back all your premiums you've paid into the policy.
Whole life however, is just that- it's insurance for your whole life. And most of these policies are kept by the client and pay out when the person dies (there are riders you can get that allow for payouts for catastrophic diseases like cancer too). All the client has to do is keep paying the premium to keep the policy. You could also choose the 10-15 year paid up insurance, where you pay those amount of years, then you stop paying premiums.
There are many good insurance companies out there, some military related: Army Air Force Mutual Aid Association (AAMAA) is one. USAA is another. You could choose to have a term policy & also a whole life policy to protect against financial uncertainties. But please do you own research too, there might be civilian companies that offer better rates than military affiliated companies.
