I would really like to be a logistics warrant but 88M converts to 153a when we go warrant. Do I need to apply specifically for logistics warrant or is 153a the only choice? 88M wanting to cross to warrant 2015-04-15T06:14:31-04:00 SGT(P) Daniel McBride 593099

I've been an 88M for almost 10 years now. While there are specific feeder MOSs for each Warrant MOS, there have been times that NCOs from outside MOSs have applied and been accepted. I recommend going to the Warrant Officer Recruiting website and seeing what the prerequisites for the MOS you are interested in. Find a Senior Warrant Officer of that MOS, hopefully in your unit, and talk to them about your desire to obtain that MOS. He should be able to talk to the branch proponent office to see what the likelihood of a non-feeder MOS packet from being approved through them. There are always exceptions that can be made.

If you do not have a local senior Warrant to talk to, do not be scared to contact the proponent directly. Their number and email are listed on the description page of each MOS on the recruiting website.

http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/index.shtml

U.S. Army Recruiting Command's Warrant Officer Recruiting Information Site

Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 15 at 2015 10:49 PM 2015-04-15T22:49:22-04:00 2015-04-15T22:49:22-04:00 2015-04-15T06:14:31-04:00
