Close air support is still available but it is more restrictive. The A-10 is a force multiplier that will be used for years if not decades. Here at Moody. "What's the deal?" In a resource constrained environment our air combat command commander is forced to cancel an entire weapon system and the A-10 is one airframe that he may have to cancel. The final decision hasn't been announced but the Entire A-10 fleet is one possible cut.  Response by Col Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2014 8:16 AM 2014-02-22T08:16:35-05:00 2014-02-22T08:16:35-05:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 62270 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In 2012 in Kandahar we had them doing missions and they were on the ATO for all of the regions. <br> Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2014 10:35 AM 2014-02-22T10:35:36-05:00 2014-02-22T10:35:36-05:00 SSgt Private RallyPoint Member 63862 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Well this administration is forcing the A-10 to be retired.   I am worried about this state of affairs and the work that will need to be done to mitigate this war on the military.
