It was the deal on the table. Getting any American home is a deal I am good with.

Not so simple. This was the only deal the Russians world agree to. It was this deal or no deal for anyone.

Not true Stan. When your making a deal, ALL CARDS are on the table. That's what negotiations are all about, don't be misled from what they are telling you that there was only one choice. And what's wrong with walking away Stan? So I guess you think this was a "Good Trade"?

CW4 Todd McElmurry - Better than no trade.
Some Russians have already said they were holding on to Whelen to trade for one of their spies we are holding.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Strength of negotiation is being able to walk away from the table. There was zero strategic value other than catering to the left populous base. And one of the most notorious arms dealers in the world known as the merchant of death seems to pale in comparison for a pot smoking WNBA player that takes a knee during the National Anthem. For me it was a horrible trade and has set precedence that we will trade a high value person for a low value person.

CW4 Todd McElmurry - No, we traded for an American citizen. That make it better than on trade, IMO.
