I saw this story featured on CNN today. Seems it may be part myth, but mostly it is true. They said that early in the war (1914) was the only time it could have possibly happened. It's a great story, whether it's entirely true or not.

I read that even the Hindus of India honored the truce upon seeing similarities with their own practices
