That statment is so true. One to combat and the quit a few due to suicide. It's crazy how they are never far from your thoughts.

I grew up with twins in the Philippines. They both joined the Army and went SFs. They were KIA soon after 911. I am sure the family took the news hard. Their father was in the AF and they represent the apex of a patriotic family.

Thank you for sharing. That has been my hardest duty, as a medic dealing with my lost brothers and sisters. Coming up to attention if I was working in an ER in country, brings the reality home.

If you serve in the military, you are supported not only by the person to your left and right. But all who came before you and with you they never stop being there to hold us up. So we can meet the challenge in front of us whether in combat during an engagement or trying to help a fellow service member you never met quite drugs. The customs and traditions bind us together as one. Remind us all of the ones who came before us and the one who have yet to report in.This Picture is almost to hard to look at without my eye tearing up, just as I can't hear TAPS without the same result. Maybe I'm getting to soft.
