Pilot forced to ditch plane, float to rescue

A pilot flying 253 miles northeast of Maui, Hawaii, on Jan. 25 deployed his aircraft’s parachute system and used a life raft to escape. He was later picked up by the crew of a cruise ship.

I saw this on Hungarian television, I never saw a plane with a parachute before, surprised it was on TV in Europe.
