ACS Promotion Points: How do I go about obtaining these points or certificates?

I am currently working on promotion points and came across a memo that states certain ACS classes are worth points. The ACS for my area does not know how to produce certificates for these classes and I need to know if anyone has completed any ACS courses and recieved points for them? If so, How do you go about obtaining those points or certificates so i can inform my ACS the process?

SGT Private RallyPoint Member When I was in over 13 years ago, they were worth only 5 Promotion points for every 40 hour class. I'm sure it has changed since but you have to present the certificate of completion to your PAC for conversion and addition to your records. At the Completion of the course the Course completion certificate should say how many hours and the name of the course. Check with your PAC to see if this is still current.

I did the class back in Stewart but it was not worth any points. I tried but my S1 said it was not worth anything. SGT Private RallyPoint Member

SGT Private RallyPoint Member,

You'll earn four promotion points for 40 hours of ACS classes. If your local ACS doesn't give certificates, then fill out a DA Form 87 (certificate of training) and give it to your S-1. The DA 87 has to be authenticated/signed by a LTC or GS-13, I believe.
