I applied to go Active Duty and got selected by the board to go Active. But before getting selected the brigade general decided not to release me with my conditional release. So I am in awkward situation and my battalion is telling me to resubmit my conditional release.
I need to move forward going Active but this conditional release is getting in the way.
Do you know what the future holds in my situation? Is it something I need to worry about or am I going Active Duty. Active duty selected by board but conditional release not approved will I still be able to go Active Duty? 2020-07-12T10:14:34-04:00 CH (1LT) Private RallyPoint Member 6094319

I am currently in the Army Reserve as a Chaplain. If you resubmit, it's going to the same GO for decision. What will be different?

I am assuming your packet was endorsed By the chain of command up to the GO level. Did you get any feed back on why it was disapproved?

I recommend you hand walk your packet back up and request an office call with the GO who is the approval authority. Be prepared to have an eye watering brilliant reason for going AD. The RCs get nothing from giving up their people to go AD. This is a strength management thing. I have send packet for this october but My conditional release packet is sitting at BN level. I don’t think its gonna get approve before board date. I am worried too. You mean we don’t need conditional release for just board decision? So we need conditional release after board date and before signing contract right???
