If anyone has done this i have some questions.<br /><br />If accepted, how does moving my family state side work? Would they have to wait in Japan until I am done with training? I understand that initial training (BCT) and (OCS) they'll probably be in Japan, as for BOLC assuming its less than 180 days, will I still be able to move them ahead of time to the states before I get my orders for my first post?If accepted for OCS, how does moving my family stateside from overseas work? Would they have to wait in Japan until I am done with training?2022-11-23T23:30:56-05:002LT Private RallyPoint Member7996287<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Currently in Japan, Active Duty, USAF. Whether that works with a change of Services I don't know. You should be able to take to Travel at your nearest Army post and they should be able to tell you more. <br />Enroute will keep you from being Non-available quarters at your BOLC location.Response by CPT Lawrence Cable made Nov 24 at 2022 10:17 AM2022-11-24T10:17:10-05:002022-11-24T10:17:10-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7997045<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is a question for your recruiter to answer, or the MEPS. There are several options to handle moving family during training and you need to know what the current policies areResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 24 at 2022 1:24 PM2022-11-24T13:24:59-05:002022-11-24T13:24:59-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member7997086<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you going to OCS you will come unaccompanied. You will be able to move your family for your BOLC. Some BOLCs are only 4 months and you PCS. I don't know if it would be worth 2 moves. I would plan on having then move for your first duty station.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 24 at 2022 2:40 PM2022-11-24T14:40:01-05:002022-11-24T14:40:01-05:002022-11-23T23:30:56-05:00
