Just finished listening to the podcast sergeant major. Thanks. I deployed as a SPC, but took a promotion to SGT with my home company while on deployment. I think that gives me the best of both worlds. I have connections, people know me, but I've also had over a year away, so I'm not just one of the joes, even though I got slotted in my old platoon.

In the podcast there are two different discussions, NCO leadership in the Guard and Reserve, and the Newly Promoted Sergeant. The title was changed by a moderator, so forgive me if there is any confusion.
