Is that setting you up for promotion and outstanding ratings when you go? You need to get a counseling form of what your duties are as a 92A and your tasked duty. You need to look as good as the unit looks. Know what to expect from this command and have your expectations on what you deserve and need to advance. No matter the MOS. If you are a reservist, what are you doing to get promoted and get positions like SSA, SAA and G1? Why stop at S1? You should have someone in your higher command or unit in the same building that could give you hands on training. Request it through email. I have the experience in both. While stationed in Germany with 141st Signal Bn as a Signal Solder I gained my experience through OJT in Supply and as the Administrative/Operations Sergeant. I have not attended either the 42A or 92Y course, but my experience goes beyond what is taught in the school house. I currently work with IPPS-A, IWS SMS, have experience conducting service computation, accessing Soldiers into the Army, assist in AGR transfers, and sanctuary soldiers. My knowledge and skills using Ulls S-4, PBUSE, to order supplies and maintenance. Was a Government Purchase Card holder, familiar with lateral transfers, command inventories, FOI, assisted in managing the commanders MTOE and TDA. Filed FLIPs, maintained the 1SG barracks program issuing keys. Was a supervisor of the Unit Armory and NBC room. I worked preparing the Division Commanders daily briefing book while working in Division S-3 Current Operation, monitored taskings, movements, serious incidents, and the blotter reports. Not also to mention my primary MOS in Signal. The only down side is that I cannot Sign up in the reserves since I was permanent medically retired from the Regular army. Most of the jobs that are offered require that I am supposed to be able to be in the Reserve Unit. I have attended SLC when my disability became prevalent. Other than the issue caused by the disability did not complete the last week of SLC which is the Field Training exercise. I had 9 months left on active duty before I made 20 years, I know the Army as a whole has changed over the past 10 years and hopefully the Toxic Leadership has been weeded out. I am looking for guidance as I feel my skills are being wasted at a GS-5 level Human Resources Assistant (Mil/OA.)<br /> A Unit Administator is a perfect combination of my skills, knowledge, and experience.
