Advice on becoming a Warrant Officer (882A Mobility Officer)

I am currently in the process of putting in a warrant officer packet and wanted some advice/feedback on WOCS and WOBC as a 882A, Mobility Officer. Any words of wisdom or experiences will be helpful.

Timeline to get pinned, requirements, WOCS life, life after getting pinned WO1?

Well, what MOS are you and what sort of experience in the transportation field to you have? Not just 88N have the experience needed to understand and complete the job.
WOC? Don't just read the SOP...memorize it, trust me. Memorize it.
WOBC? It's long, but there is a lot of knowledge there. Keep a notebook with you. You may know some things, but the new stuff you must write down. A reference guide is helpful when you leave the school!
Last, ensure that being a Warrant is truly what you want. To quote my TAC, "Gone are the days of the coffee cup, Tom Seleck mustache, Warrant. You will not be an enlisted soldier that gets saluted." There is a big difference in Army life when you become an officer. Be ready. Be prepared. Make sure that this is what you want.

From my time at the 200th WOC school should be a breeze for you. Just read up on the required materials to get thru the coursework cause sleep is never a given in that type of environment.

I know for the reserves you have 2 years after getting pinned to get through WOBC. I think it's the same for NG. You may also have the option of doing WOCS at an RTI, but I hear you get more out of training through the residence course at Rucker.

My husband is a CW2. He put in his packet June 2011. The board was in September 2011. Out of 60 applicants only 9 were selected. He had his orders for school in November 2011. He went to WOCS March to April 2012. Then he went to WOBC a month later. His basic course is about 3 months and the advance course is also 3 months too.
