Advice on how to bounce back?

So I recently screwed up pretty badly, had my DRB, going higher. If I'm still in by the end of it, any advice on how to pick myself back up after the process of punishment is done?

It may seem like I'm being a smart ass but I really am not.

1. When you think about doing something wrong, don't.
2. If you are given something to do spare no effort to do it the best you are able.
3. Make sure you plan and avoid painting yourself into a corner.

Sooner or later you'll get a sign that the command has faith in you again.

Pick yourself up by volunteering, going to boards (not sure if the Navy does them), be a hard worker, and most importantly stay our of trouble. Keep your head held high and persevere through this hardship.

Its time to start swimming, so stay afloat and don't drown. Not sure what a DRB is by the way.

Take the punishment. Make no excuses, blame no one, and alienate yourself from whatever got you in a bind. When it's over, be the service member you wanted to be when you came in. Forward momentum is key. Like a shark, if you stop swimming, you drown.
