Hello, I’d like to ask if anyone has any tips to help improve time for the 2 mile run. I eat a fairly healthy diet, stay hydrated and practice running in intervals. Anything I can do to improve?

I was never a runner but slowly I'm starting to get enjoy it. I pass my PT but I'm nowhere near the 15:30 I need to max. What are some tips and exercises that have helped you or your soldiers shave time off of their run? I also want to start training a half marathon and complete one in Dec.

I would recommend using a treadmill to train on. By using a treadmill you can pace yourself better and increase and decrease the speed as need it. Also, run at least 3 miles at a time 4 times a week. Also include squats on your training, starting with 3 sets of 20 an increase them to 4 sets of 25 squats.
