After Basic Training Graduation, could my parents bring me my laptop for AIT?

I am going to Fort Huachuca for AIT and since I don't want to bring my laptop in during Basic I was wondering if I would get in trouble for having my laptop bag with me. Or will I already have been given all of the items that I came with, therefore not looking odd?

Normally I would say that would be ok, but considering your the MOS you're entering, they may have some reservations. Best to check with the school before having your parents make the trip.

I know that is MOS-T were able to have our stuff with us (i.e. electronics, phones, etc.), but if you’re just getting in for the first time the DS won’t authorize you to have personal electronics. They’ll take it and store it until you graduate. I wouldn’t ask them to bring it.

I was at Fprt Huachuca for AIT from AUG 2018 to FEB 2019. When you arrive you will be in black phase and won’t be able to have a laptop or any electronics other than your phone and a charger, and a smart watch if you do have one. You’ll have to reach gold phase before you would be allowed to have your laptop in your room and be able to play it. You won’t be in trouble as long as you turn it in and don’t try hiding it as room inspections do occur and would get you in trouble if caught.

I havent been to Huachuca since 2016 but regardless you will be allowed to have laptops, video games, and things of that nature. However, I wouldn’t have them bring it to you before you depart. That would be something you would want brought straight to Huachuca.
