SSgt Private RallyPoint Member 6673470 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am active duty with 10 years of service. I was recently introduced to the Army WO program. It sounds like a legit transition but I want to make sure this is something I should pursue, or if I should just try my luck with Air Force commissioning. I know if I transition to WO that I&#39;d continue being a technician, as opposed to the roles of officers and SNCOs. I feel like I am in the right unit since it&#39;s majority Army personnel and we have several WOs. My MOS would be 255A. What&#39;s the normal day for an Information Services Tech? Are there deployments (if so, how frequent)? Also, is there any info/advice that my wife and 3 kids should know while I&#39;m transitioning through basic training, WOCS, and WOBC? The people I&#39;ve asked either have no dependents or went through this process years ago. Air Force Enlisted to Army Warrant Officer. Is the blue to green transition worth going through basic training again? 2021-01-19T12:30:40-05:00 SSgt Private RallyPoint Member 6673470 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am active duty with 10 years of service. For me, it was the best career decisions I could have made. I enjoy being a leader, an advisor, and a technical expert. You should know that WOCC is not easy and WOBC is long. Depending on your assigned unit, there could be deployments and a lot of &quot;net&quot; training, or field problems validating your environment.<br />If you like getting your hands dirty and think you could best serve our country by being an technical expert, then it might be worth pursuing.
