PO2 Anthony Gick 199374 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was discharged in 04 as an E5/ABH2 via med board with severance pay. I am a proffessional firefighter so physically I believe I can meet the medical requirments. Anyone know how difficult it is to transition into the air national gaurd or the navy reserves. I am interested in a program where my remaining college debt will be paid off under the loan repayment program. Also how difficult is it to go the officer route. I was enlisted for 8 years and I would love to wear the uniform again and plan for my future retirement. My DD214 has a RE-1 code on it so it should be able to re-enter once I jump thru medical hoops Air national gaurd or naval reserves? 2014-08-10T12:22:37-04:00 PO2 Anthony Gick 199374 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was discharged in 04 as an E5/ABH2 via med board with severance pay. The ultimate question is which branch can offer you what you want and can offer you a job that you can live with..as prior service your options will not be as grand as when you first joined. My advice is to sit down with both branches, have them "show" you the answers to your questions not just "tell" you. And then make an educated decision Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 28 at 2014 6:34 PM 2014-08-28T18:34:47-04:00 2014-08-28T18:34:47-04:00 2014-08-10T12:22:37-04:00
