All Lives Matter. Will these two police officers make a difference?

Police Officers make a statement!! AND I LOVE IT! Let's get out of the stereotypes and look at the real problem. Some officers are just NOT FIT for duty. That's all it is. More whites get killed by police officers than blacks do. BUT we don't hear about the "Caucasian" people getting killed by police officers because it doesn't fit the news, political, RACE BAITING agenda. Just getting tired of hearing this ridiculous... ughhhh.

I mean a Democrat, Martin O'Malley, even says all lives matters and he gets booed. What is wrong with this picture!!!!????

What do you think about these police officers? Are they right?

SGT Private RallyPoint Member you have pretty much re-iterated my sentiments on this. Black lives matter = pandering to those who would have the people divided. All lives matter is a unifying statement that indicates that human life is what should be considered first as opposed to race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other superficial grouping. I have said before, and will say again, Law Enforcement Officers fall into two categories. The first is those who genuinely want to serve their community. They want to make it a safe place, and a better place. These are the officers who suffer the most when these inflammatory events occur. They are the ones who deal with the ridicule when they are genuinely trying to make their community a better place. Then comes the second category. These are the power trippers. These officers are in it because they want the power and authority that comes with carrying a badge and a gun as a part of your daily work attire. These are the officers who react negatively when they are questioned about their actions. These are also the ones who react irrationally when engaged by the public. They don't care about why they do the job, they just care about the power they gain from the job. They have the mentality that a badge and a gun are the equivalent of putting them above the laws that they are tasked with enforcing.
If the world had more category one police officers, and less category two officers, it would be a much better place. Of course, we would still only hear in the media about the bad actions of police officers because that is what gets the ratings.

I think they're right, but I also think it won't help.

The part of the BLM movement that is causing divisiveness are the same people who have decided that the police are the enemy. They will take this statement not as meaning that police lives are also important, but as meaning that police lives are more important than black lives, and so will take it as a personal attack on them.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member I like the we are all in this together message. Agreed there is a MSM agenda and civil leadership needs to put emphasis on pluralistic societal relationships. It is sad to me to hear an obvious statement like 'all lives matter' get booed, it speaks to the audience in the Dem crowd.

SGT Veronica Fulgham, I don't mean to hijack your post, and I apologize in advance, but this reminded me of a discussion I had this week where I had a white individual call me a racist (reversed) because I felt the term "All Lives Matter" was appropriate... But wait for the unbelievable part... His argument was for "Black Lives Matter" and he felt that if my "pea-brain" couldn't grasp the full concept of its meaning, then I must be one of them... I would have responded physically, but I couldn't stop laughing and left... On a serious note, and after really giving it some thought, was discussing this with a friend of mine (also white) after after discussing it with, was surprised he actually felt the same way, and sent me the link below from his FB page. I was somewhat speechless and very surprised at how many actually felt this way... I couldn't determine if it this was genuine, sympathetic or just some sarcastic post...

Though I don't agree completely with this, I do see his point of view, but believe that point of view is not the answer based on the original question, only that it has something to do with the question, has a few true statements, therefore, it makes it, and is seen as, a correct answer, even though it isn't... Does that make sense? If not, my apologies... My brain tends to think deeper than I want sometimes! LOL! And as far as the author, I've never heard of him and couldn't find him on Twitter, where it seems this came from, but I do think it is race baiting on a whole new level...

It's just a sign of the times. All news stations want to cater to their base and to get as many viewers as they can. Money makes the world go round; feelings and facts be damned. To the BLM, I understand what they're trying to say, I understand their intent, but I feel that their execution of their "mission" is misguided and confusing. If you can't accept that all lives matter, then the problem might be with you, and not who you're calling out. Cops? Too many damn good ones to put them all in one lump and say they're all bad.

I think these two Police officers have the RIGHT IDEA.... I have yet to figure out what exactly is the message the group "black lives matter" is trying to interject or portray...other than being DISRUPTIVE and instigating riots....

f the group "black lives matter" formed this group for all Black lives, then I would be ok with it....especially since there are THOUSANDS of black on black murders DAILY in the US....however, this group formed on the premises of Black's being killed by white cops....and for NO OTHER REASON...therefore I feel that this group is TRULY NOT GENUINE...and when they've been asked over and over about what there agenda is...what message do they want to convey...they have never really answered this questions....and it seems all they do...is jump up and create riots after a white cop shoots a black person...yet you never see or hear from them when it comes to the MURDERS in CHICAGO...especially the murders of the younger kids in Chicago in May and JUne of this year....

the only thing I've seen this group do is spew hatred...and cause and or create riots and mayhem... ALL BLACK lives should matter...not just those shot by white cops....and ALL LIVES SHOULD MATTER....so the question is WHY does this group get SO UPSET and OFFENDED when someone says....All lives should matter? cause there are white cops who have killed white people, Mexican people and Asian People....and there are black cops who have killed BLACK people...oh, and guess how many times they've brought this up or mentioned it?!?! NOT ONE TIME...WHY NOT?? if black lives matter...then why don't they matter when a black cop kills a black person???

If Black lives matter, THEN WHY DON'T ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER? and this is why so many people turn around and say....ALL LIVES MATTER.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member I used my last "Up Vote" of the day for you. I like the article and I like the post. All Life matters is a profound statement. It really says it call. All other statements in my opinion are worthless compared to this statement. There are great police officers out there of many different nationalities putting their lives on the line. We have our "bad apples" in the military service and they will have theirs in the police force, so it is what it is. The "bad apples" no mater what race, color, or nationality will and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, if not more because of their status (but let's treat everyone fairly), same for the "bad apples in the military services (prosecute them under the UCMJ) to the fullest extent. No more favorites. Let's get rid of the white, black, yellow, etc. race cards and move forward America! That’s how the Old Retired Colonel says it out here in California!

The biggest problem we have is the news media who wants to report what, when, and how they want to do it. This coupled with the race baiting going on has put a large division in our country.
Yes there are some police officers who shouldn't be on duty. This happens because we deal with humans who have emotions and feelings, and fail to put the duties they've swore to uphold first.

I agree that all lives matter. To narrow it down to one race comes across as being racial in context. You're right, there are some cops who do the wrong thing and make the majority look bad. Time and again, I find myself defending officers or police departments when someone wants to talk about how all cops are ruthless and corrupt. There is plenty of good to talk about, but the mainstream media must deem it boring.
