TA provides $350/hr for a Bachelor's, but only $250/hr for Master's. Only 16 credits per year with Master's and I believe it was 18 for Bachelor's. Why is it so backwards. It essentially forces the SM to need to take loans out even if taking one credit at a time (turning a 1 year program into 2). Yeah there are a few schools who have a deal and drop rates to $250 for mil, but finding your program at one of those schools...good luck, or it ends up being a school no one has heard of and yes, name's matter sometimes.

I'm not sure where you read the rates from, but unless something has changed it is $250/sh, regardless of graduate or undergraduate.

I feel dumb now, could've sworn I saw $350 during my Bachelor's.

CW2 (Join to see) no worries. I don't have enough fingers to count how many times I do that in a day.

Yes, most graduate program have a higher rate, but many universities do offer military rates that can lessen the financial burden. I recently received my Masters Degree from the University of Oklahoma, and while their military rate is still above the TA allowance - it was fairly affordable. You may want to looking into financial aid as another option to see if there are any grants available to help cut through the costs. Hope this helps.

SSG, if you are going to pursue a Master’s, Excelsior College charges $290/sh. Yes, you still need to pay out of pocket, but it’s very little.
